Erik Cattrysse
Biography
Erik Cattrysse is Professor in Musculoskeletal Anatomy. He has a Master in Physiotherapy and in Manuel Therapy and a PhD in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Sciences from the VUB.
He is head of the of Experimental Anatomy research group (EXAN).
His PhD study focused on the kinematics of manual mobilization and manipulation (HVT) of the upper cervical spine. Still at present his main field of interest is human anatomical variation and the study of the anatomy and kinematics of the cervical spine in-vitro and in-vivo.
He still is active as Physcial Therpist in the field of MT of the Spine and is owner of a private practice for Manual Therapy and Physiotherapy ‘Manus Prominens’.
He has more than 50 SC-indexed international publications, approximately 90 international publication and over 100 congress-presentations as author or co-author and a similar number of invited lectures. He is also co-auteur of 1 scientific monographs, 29 educational publications and 6 book chapters.
